Job summary

Symbos is seeking a Workplace Relations Associate to provide practical employee relations support across educators and regional managers. You will respond to employment queries, interpret contracts and policies, coordinate case documentation and support performance, grievance and return-to-work processes.

A hybrid setup is expected, with strong judgement, empathy and accurate administration in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in HR, business or related field.
• At least three years' experience in generalist HR and employee relations.
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid setup.
• Experience interpreting employment contracts and policies.
• Experience in high-volume HR environments with competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor HR Administration inbox and respond to high-volume queries.
• Provide guidance on contracts, classifications, Modern Award conditions, policies and grievances.
• Support Code of Conduct breaches through fact-finding, meetings and documentation.
• Coordinate performance management, grievances and disputes; prep for meetings.
• First point of contact for work cover injuries and return-to-work processes.
• Manage parental leave applications and visa/sponsorship administration.
• Process contract variations and provide payroll with updated details.
• Conduct exit surveys and identify insights for improvements.
