  • Minimum 8 years progressive experience in a Human Resources Generalist role within a multinational company

  • Solid hands-on experience managing outsourced payroll operations and statutory compliance
  • Proven experience supporting or administering global equity programs (ESPP, RSU, stock awards)
  • Strong understanding of local labor laws, tax regulations, social insurance, and compensation practices
  • Experience with Mercer Job Architecture, IPE methodology, job grading, and market surveys
  • Advanced proficiency in Workday (Compensation, HCM, Position Management, Reporting, Org Management)
  • Advanced Excel and HR analytics skills with focus on data accuracy and reporting quality

Job description

The HR Local Entity Generalist
Accountabilities
  • HR Operations, Employee Lifecycle & Employment Compliance

Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, employment changes, internal transfers, promotions, mobility administration, and offboarding activities while ensuring a high standard of employee experience and operational excellence.

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of local labor laws, employment regulations, statutory requirements, and HR best practices. Provide guidance to management and employees on employment-related matters and ensure all HR practices remain compliant with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Lead the drafting, review, interpretation, and regular update of the local Employee Handbook, HR policies, procedures, and employment-related documentation. Ensure alignment with evolving labor legislation, regulatory requirements, global policies, and company standards while supporting policy communication and employee training initiatives.

Partner with Legal, Compliance, and business stakeholders to conduct policy reviews, assess employment risks, and implement necessary changes arising from legislative updates or organizational requirements.

Generate HR metrics, dashboards, and workforce analytics to support business leaders in workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and strategic decision-making.

Partner closely with regional and global HR teams to deliver HR projects, process improvements, digitalization initiatives, and organizational change management programs.

Compensation & Benefits Administration

Lead end-to-end payroll administration in partnership with external payroll vendors, ensuring accurate and timely processing of bi-monthly payroll, statutory contributions, tax withholding, and year-end reporting in full compliance with local regulations.

Manage and administer compensation and benefits programs, including salary structures, allowances, insurance, retirement plans, and employee wellbeing initiatives. Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll, compensation, taxation, and benefits.

Support annual compensation review activities, including merit increases, promotions, salary adjustments, bonus planning, and market benchmarking to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.

Coordinate workforce cost budgeting, forecasting, and monthly staff cost reporting. Monitor headcount movements and compensation expenses, providing analytical insights and recommendations to support business and financial decisions.

Manage annual individual income tax filing processes and collaborate with external tax advisors to provide tax compliance support and mobility-related taxation services for expatriate employees.

Manage the full lifecycle of job architecture and position management activities, including job evaluations, position creation, promotions, transfers, organizational restructuring, and workforce planning.

Apply Mercer Job Architecture methodology and market benchmarking principles to support job grading, career framework design, and organizational development initiatives.

Support the implementation and ongoing administration of global equity and reward programs, including Employee Stock Purchase Plans (ESPP), Restricted Stock Units (RSU), and other long-term incentive programs.

Compliance & Policy Governance

Ensure all HR operations, payroll processes, compensation programs, and employee records comply with applicable labor laws, tax regulations, data privacy requirements, and corporate governance standards.

Identify potential HR compliance risks and recommend mitigation measures to management.

Maintain and regularly update employee handbook content, compensation policies, and HR procedures in alignment with local legal requirements and corporate guidelines.

Support internal and external audits related to payroll, compensation, benefits, taxation, and HR compliance, ensuring complete and audit-ready documentation.

Required Skills/ Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of Mercer Job Architecture, Mercer IPE methodology, job grading, and market compensation surveys.
  • Advanced proficiency in Workday, including Compensation, HCM, Position Management, Reporting, and Organizational Management modules.
  • Advanced Excel and HR analytics skills with strong attention to data accuracy and reporting quality.
