Job summary

SCALIS is seeking an HR Generalist to provide comprehensive support on policies, procedures, compliance, and disciplinary actions. You will oversee onboarding, employee records management, performance tracking, and other HR initiatives.

This role requires 2–3 years in HR, knowledge of local labor laws, and HRIS experience. Remote work with US hours is supported, with benefits and professional development offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HRM, Psychology or Business Administration.
  • 2–3 years of progressive HR experience; BPO preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of local labor laws and disciplinary processes.
  • Experience with HRIS and keeping meticulous employee records.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; integrity.

Job description

The HR Generalist is responsible for providing comprehensive support and guidance to all employees regarding company policies, procedures, compliance, and disciplinary actions. This role oversees onboarding, employee records management, performance tracking, and various other HR initiatives to support both people management and operational success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Policy Administration: Support the administration and implementation of HR processes and procedures to ensure total adherence to workplace policies.
  • Guideline Development: Participate actively in developing organizational guidelines and procedures.
  • Incident Investigations: Conduct thorough pre-investigations to uncover the root causes of workplace incidents and grievances, recommending appropriate resolutions.
  • Disciplinary Action: Prepare Notices to Explain (NTE) and related documentation, endorsing them to the HR Manager during the initial phase of the disciplinary process.
  • Issue Resolution: Assist in the timely resolution of employee relations challenges and departmental initiatives.
  • Employee Lifecycle: Responsible for the onboarding process of both new hires and newly regularized employees across all company resources.
  • Database Maintenance: Manage and maintain accurate, secure, and up-to-date employee records and HR databases.
  • Verification & Queries: Assist with internal and external HR-related inquiries, including pre- and post-employment verifications, Certificates of Employment (COEs), and general questions.
  • Performance Support: Support and assist the HR Manager in executing and administering the performance management process.
  • Metric Tracking: Assist in monitoring employee performance metrics, scorecard compliance, attendance-related concerns, and other relevant HR indicators.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare HR-related reports, documentation, and departmental metrics as deemed necessary.
  • General Support: Perform other HR projects and duties as assigned to support organizational goals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of progressive experience as an HR Specialist or HR Generalist. BPO experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of local labor laws and employment standards, with direct experience handling disciplinary processes (including drafting Notices to Explain (NTE) and conducting incident pre-investigations).
  • Familiarity with tracking performance metrics, monitoring employee scorecards, and managing attendance data.
  • Proficiency in managing Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), data entry, and maintaining meticulous employee records.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for drafting formal HR documentation, reports, and addressing employee queries.
  • High level of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee information with discretion.
  • Strong analytical skills to conduct root-cause analysis on workplace grievances and recommend fair resolutions.
  • Approachable demeanor with the ability to support employees at all levels and navigate complex employee relations issues smoothly.
  • Willingness to work US hours and can support 100% remote work set-up. (stable Internet/Electricity and dedicated workspace)
