Job summary

Lavasource is building a modern HR Transformation ecosystem and launching a new professional community. You will design the initial community experience, recruit founding members, and drive engaging conversations, events and opportunities to keep members returning.

You will work with leadership and partners to shape the community, onboard experts, curate valuable content, and turn events into reusable resources that support ongoing growth.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a professional, customer, member or online community.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Strong relationship-building and member-engagement skills.
• Confidence facilitating virtual discussions, meetings and events.
• Strong writing, editing and content-curation ability.
• Experience onboarding members, customers or users.
• Ability to work independently in a remote international team.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret engagement data and recommend practical action.
• Good judgement handling confidential information.
• Experience with Bettermode or another community platform.
• Experience with CRM tools such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
• Knowledge of HR, recruitment, consulting or enterprise technology.
• Experience managing job, project or professional opportunities.
• Experience developing ambassador or contributor programmes.
• Familiarity with responsible AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude).
• Experience working with UK/US and other international stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and onboard founding members and expert contributors.
• Build relationships with HR leaders, practitioners and experts.
• Develop a consistent programme of discussions, events, expert insight and member introductions.
• Seed the Community with relevant questions, resources and opportunities before launch.
• Encourage members to ask questions, share experience and help one another.
• Integrate jobs and project opportunities into the community experience.
• Monitor engagement, return behaviour and activity; report progress and learnings.
• Gather member feedback and represent needs to platform and LavaSource.
• Manage day-to-day activity on the Bettermode platform.
• Moderate discussions to maintain a welcoming professional environment.
• Identify and develop community champions and ambassadors.
