Job summary

Datamatics seeks an HR Analyst/Developer – HR Tools and Process Automation Consultant to support BPMSD with end-to-end Power Platform solutions for HR automation. You will analyze requirements, design solutions, develop apps, automate workflows, and ensure secure, scalable delivery aligned with HR standards.

Work closely with HRSA and business users to translate requirements into technical designs, build dashboards, test, deploy, document, and provide post- deployment support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in application development, workflow automation, systems implementation, business analysis, or digital transformation.
• Demonstrated experience developing business applications and automated workflows using Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dataverse, SharePoint lists and libraries, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Excel, and other Microsoft 365 services used as data sources or integration points for Power Platform solutions.
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications, process flows, data models, app designs, workflow logic, and test scenarios.
• Strong understanding of Power Platform solution design principles, including usability, scalability, maintainability, security, access control, and exception handling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, configure, and enhance business applications using Microsoft Power Apps to support HR process automation, data capture, approvals, tracking, and reporting requirements.
• Develop automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate to streamline manual HR processes, notifications, approvals, data updates, reminders, and handoffs across teams.
• Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365 services and approved data sources, including SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Excel, Dataverse, and other enterprise systems as applicable.
• Design data structures, forms, screens, business rules, and user interfaces that are intuitive, efficient, and aligned with the needs of HR business users.
• Develop Power BI dashboards or embedded reporting components, where required, to monitor usage, process status, workload, and key operational indicators for tools developed.
• Review existing HR processes and identify opportunities to automate, digitize, or standardize workflows using Microsoft Power Platform.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, user stories, process flows, functional specifications, and technical solution designs for assigned automation use cases.
• Configure connectors, triggers, actions, approval flows, data validations, role-based access, and exception handling to ensure reliable and controlled automation.
• Conduct unit testing, user acceptance testing support, issue resolution, and performance checks to confirm that developed tools meet agreed business, security, and quality standards.
• Prepare technical documentation, user guides, deployment notes, process maps, and support materials to enable proper handover, maintenance, and adoption of developed solutions.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, enhancements, and user enablement for deployed Power platform solutions.
• Support proper administration and management of Power Platform-related initiatives, including solution inventory, version control, change tracking, and coordination with relevant technology and business stakeholders.

The HR Analyst/Developer – HR Tools and Process Automation Consultant will be engaged to support BPMSD in developing digital tools and automating HR processes. The assignment will cover the end-to-end development of Power Platform solutions, including requirements analysis, solution design, app development, workflow automation, integration with Microsoft 365 data sources, testing, deployment, documentation, and post-deployment support.

The consultant will work closely with BPMSD’s HRSA team and business users to identify automation opportunities, translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, and ensure that tools developed are secure, maintainable, user-friendly, and aligned with ADB and HR standards.

Detailed Tasks and/or Expected Output

Power Platform Solution Development
