The Qualifications We Seek
Essential Qualifications
- At least 2 to 3 years of experience handling complex employee relations cases in a fast-paced environment
- Experience supporting employees and stakeholders across multiple sites
- Sound knowledge of employment law
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience supporting consultations and organizational change programs
- Knowledge of the care sector and its regulatory environment
- Experience drafting and reviewing HR policies
Your Daily Tasks
Employee Relations and HR Guidance
- Serve as the main point of contact for all employee relations inquiries, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance management matters
- Complete administrative work associated with employee relations cases
- Manage the employee relations tracker and provide monthly updates to the HR Business Partner and Divisional Director
- Guide and coach line managers on basic and occasionally complex HR and employee relations matters, including TUPE transfers in and out, disciplinary matters, grievances, performance, and absence management, in line with current legislation
- Support employee relations requirements across other divisions as needed
Stakeholder Partnership and Communication
- Build, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders
- Communicate and reinforce organizational values regularly
- Establish and promote effective communication with internal customers
- Support the HR Business Partner with HR clinics, open-door sessions, and listening forums across relevant services as required
Recruitment, Onboarding, and Employer Brand
- Review and update job descriptions
- Support and develop recruitment campaigns
- Coordinate new starter inductions and onboarding with the Regional Director or Divisional Director for Home Manager or regional field roles
- Support the organization of employer branding initiatives
HR Operations, Policies, and Change
- Provide administrative support for organizational change processes and consultations
- Use HR information systems to access, input, and compile data
- Manage SharePoint and maintain up-to-date information on HR procedures and policies
- Partner with HR Business Partners to review HR policies
- Support HR policy and initiative rollouts
Employee Engagement
- Support the HR Business Partner with the annual employee engagement survey across the leadership team and care home teams
