Job summary

Joy~Nostalg Group is seeking a Deputy for Construction Development to lead end-to-end housing project planning, development, and turnover. You will manage budgets, schedules, and compliance across multiple sites while coordinating with engineering, permits, and finance teams.

The role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of construction standards, and a proactive approach to risk and stakeholder management. Experience with DHSUD/HLURB regulations is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
• MBA is an advantage.
• 8–10 years in construction and project development, preferably housing projects.
• Strong background in project management, site development, housing construction, and contractor management.
• Proficiency with project management tools.
• Licensed Civil Engineer or Architect preferred.
• Familiarity with DHSUD/HLURB regulations, permitting, and standards.
• Proven leadership across multiple sites and teams.
• Strong analytical, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in project monitoring, budgeting, and construction management software/tools.
• Collaborative and team-oriented leadership style.
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Creative problem-solving with big-picture thinking.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and implementation of all housing projects from pre-construction to completion.
• Review feasibility, timelines, budgets and resource requirements.
• Coordinate with technical, engineering, permits and PM teams.
• Ensure alignment of plans with targets and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee day-to-day construction activities across sites.
• Monitor progress against timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers, consultants and stakeholders.
• Identify risks and implement corrective actions to minimize delays and costs.
• Ensure adherence to plans, specs and quality standards.
• Lead and manage construction and project development teams.
• Provide guidance and performance management to reports.
• Coordinate with Sales, Property Management, Finance, Permits, and Technical teams.
• Prepare and present project updates to Management.
