Job summary

The Supreme HR Advisory Pte Ltd invites applications for a Hotel Maintenance Technician / Assistant to service hotel facilities with routine and emergency maintenance, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, doors, and water heaters.

You will respond to guest repair requests, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot pumps and wiring, carry out basic carpentry and painting, coordinate with external contractors, and keep maintenance records.

Qualifications

• Minimum secondary education or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in hotel, building, or general maintenance.
• Basic Electrical Certificate or NITEC in Electrical Technology is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on hotel equipment and facilities (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, doors, water heaters, fixtures).
• Respond to guest repair requests in rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
• Carry out preventive maintenance according to the hotel's schedule.
• Troubleshoot and repair pumps, motors, plumbing, and other hotel equipment.
• Repair or replace lamps, switches, door locks, and minor electrical components.
• Carry out basic painting, patching, and cosmetic repairs.
• Perform basic carpentry and furniture repairs.
• Inspect areas regularly to identify and rectify issues.
• Coordinate with external contractors during servicing, repairs, inspections, and renovations.
• Maintain records of maintenance work and safety procedures.

Position title : Hotel Maintenance Technician / Assistant

Working Days: 6 days, Tue – Sun

Working hours: 9am – 6pm

Working Location: Beach Rd (Bugis)

Salary: $2500 - $3500 (Depends on qualification & experience)

Assistant: $2500

Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on hotel equipment and facilities, including plumbing, electrical systems, air-conditioning units, door locks, water heaters, and bathroom fixtures.

• Respond promptly to guest repair requests and maintenance issues in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.

• Carry out preventive maintenance (PM) according to the hotel's maintenance schedule.

• Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on pumps, motors, plumbing systems (e.g. toilets, basins, faucets, drains), and other hotel equipment.

• Repair or replace lamps, light fittings, switches, power sockets, door locks, door closers, and other minor electrical or mechanical components.

• Perform basic painting, touch-up, wall patching, plastering, silicone sealing (caulking), and cosmetic repairs.

• Carry out basic carpentry and furniture repairs, including doors, cabinets, drawers, beds, tables, chairs, and other hotel fixtures.

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities regularly to identify and rectify maintenance issues.

• Coordinate with external contractors during servicing, repairs, inspections, and renovation works.

• Maintain proper records of maintenance work, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities.

• Ensure all maintenance work is carried out safely and in accordance with workplace safety procedures.

• Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and workshop areas in a clean and organised condition.

• Attend to emergency maintenance issues such as water leakage, power failures, equipment breakdowns, and other urgent repairs.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Hotel Management.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Secondary School education or equivalent.

• At least 1 year of experience in hotel, building, or general maintenance is preferred.

• Possess a Basic Electrical Certificate, NITEC in Electrical Technology, or equivalent technical qualification will be an added advantage.

• Able to perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs safely.

Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)

• Experience in hotel maintenance or hospitality industry.

• Basic knowledge of fire safety systems and building maintenance.
