Job summary

Outpost Hostel is seeking a hands-on Hospitality Operations Lead to supervise daily operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, Bar, Kitchen, Maintenance and Security. You will coach supervisors, drive service standards, and optimize occupancy and costs while ensuring seamless teamwork on the floor.

Based in Coron, Palawan, you will lead a high-energy team, live on site, and enjoy a competitive package including free accommodation, meals, and a company motorcycle for work-related use.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership experience in hospitality.
• Experience in a hotel, hostel, resort, or similar property.
• Ability to coach people rather than just give instructions.
• Highly organized and proactive; can work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations of the hostel alongside department supervisors.
• Coach and develop Front Office, Housekeeping, Bar, Kitchen, Maintenance, and Security teams.
• Ensure departments communicate and work together seamlessly.
• Monitor guest experience and resolve concerns quickly.
• Conduct daily quality inspections of rooms and public areas.
• Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and service standards are consistently met.
• Monitor occupancy, revenue, inventory, and operating costs.
• Coordinate repairs, purchasing, and supplier concerns.
• Build a positive, accountable, and service-focused team culture.

Hospitality Operations Lead

Outpost Hostel | Coron, Palawan

Outpost Hostel is looking for a hands-on leader to oversee the daily operations of our Coron property.

This isn't a desk job.

You'll spend your day walking the property, coaching supervisors, solving operational problems before guests notice them, and ensuring every department works together to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the daily operations of the hostel alongside the department supervisors.

• Coach and develop Front Office, Housekeeping, Bar, Kitchen, Maintenance, and Security teams.

• Ensure departments communicate and work together seamlessly.

• Monitor guest experience and resolve concerns quickly.

We're Looking For Someone Who

• Has at least 3 years of leadership experience in hospitality.

• Has experience in a hotel, hostel, resort, or similar property.

• Is confident leading multiple departments.

• Can coach people instead of simply giving instructions.

• Is highly organized and proactive.

• Can make sound decisions under pressure.

• Is comfortable using hotel systems, Microsoft Office, and operational reports.

• Is willing to relocate and live in Coron, Palawan.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Hostel experience

• Boutique hotel or resort experience

• Island property experience

• Knowledge of PMS systems such as Cloudbeds or similar

• Strong food & beverage operational knowledge
