Hospitality Senior Accountant — Night Shift Leader

Job summary

Global Virtuoso, Inc. in Makati seeks a Senior Staff Accountant to manage financial records, reconcile accounts, and prepare reports for properties within its hospitality portfolio.

You will oversee bank, payroll, and vendor payment reconciliations, ensure internal controls, manage fixed assets, and align capitalization with U.S. GAAP, collaborating with senior leaders to ensure accuracy and timely deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 3–7 years of work experience handling high-volume accounting transactions in hotel, tourism, and hospitality for a global brand.
• Previous work experience in ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, Charts/Graphs), Word and Outlook.
• Comfortable with Acrobat Pro to assemble and consolidate documents.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and oral.
• Willing to work night shift and amenable to holidays, weekends, and shifting schedule.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily and month-end bank, sales, and payroll reconciliations
• Validate alignment of sales activity with deposits and POS systems
• Supervise reconciliation of payroll disbursements against bank movements
• Review and sign off on vendor payment journals and payment runs
• Ensure adherence to approval workflows, cut-offs, and internal controls
• Oversee fixed asset register, acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation
• Manage new store FA setup and capitalization in line with U.S. GAAP
• Review and sign off on balance sheet schedules and reconciliations
• Investigate variances and ensure accuracy in financial reporting
• Act as primary liaison with client Manager and/or Senior Leaders, ensuring deliverable quality
