Job summary

Point is hiring a Home Equity Closer for our Manila team. You will ensure smooth, accurate document signings, coordinate with escrow/title companies, and issue closing disclosures to homeowners.

The closing team is essential to scaling our operations during the growth phase, with onsite weekly collaboration and a later-stage tech environment in fintech and real estate.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in US Mortgage Closing, US Mortgage Processing, Escrow or similar (preferred but not required).
• At least 2 years of experience in customer service.
• Knowledge of the real estate closing process, specifically refinance transactions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete file QC (Quality Control review) including reviewing Title Reports, Tax Certificates, US Mortgage Billing Statements, HOA Billing Statements, Payoff Statements, ALTA Settlement Statements, Vesting Deeds, and IDs.
• Issue Closing Disclosures to homeowners.
• Coordinate Signing Appointments with homeowners and Title vendors.
• Discuss the Point Option agreement with homeowners and provide details regarding repayment, summary of terms and funding timeline.

Location

This is a hybrid role. Our office is located at Arthaland Century Pacific Tower, 5th Avenue, BGC. Team members are expected to work onsite as required by their role, team, and business needs. Onsite schedules may vary and are subject to change.

Role Hours

The expected working hours for this position are typically from 12:00 AM to 9:00 AM. Start times may vary between 8:00 PM and 12:00 AM depending on business needs and operational requirements.

About the role

Your responsibilities

About you

• 1 or more years of experience in US Mortgage Closing, US Mortgage Processing, Escrow or similar role preferred (but not required)
• At least 2 years of experience in customer service.
• Knowledge of the real estate closing process, specifically refinance transactions preferred.
• Natural inclination to documentation and seeking efficiencies by leveraging technology.
• Fluency in Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
• Excellent communication skills; written and verbal. Fluent in English.
• A desire to deliver an uncommon level of quality customer service.
• Excited about joining a later-stage tech company, interested in real estate, interested in fintech.
