Job summary

Valor Global Philippines is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage high-volume bi-weekly or monthly payrolls for employees in the Metro Manila area. You will ensure accurate timekeeping, deductions, and statutory contributions, while addressing employee inquiries with professionalism.

The role requires 1–3 years in payroll processing, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of local wage laws. A BPO background is preferred; the position is on-site in Taguig with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably within the BPO industry.
• Proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and payroll/HRIS software.
• Strong understanding of local labor codes, wage laws, and government statutory contributions.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
• Excellent time-management skills with the ability to handle strict deadlines under pressure.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Compute and process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for a high volume of employees, including regular hours, overtime, night differentials, holiday pay, and shift allowances.
• Review and reconcile timekeeping and attendance logs from biometric or workforce management systems.
• Calculate and remit government-mandated contributions (e.g., SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) and local taxes accurately.
• Process deductions for loans, health insurance, and other company-approved benefits.
• Address payroll-related queries, discrepancies, and requests from employees and management in a professional and timely manner.
• Generate regular payroll registers, variance reports, and accounting summaries for auditing and management review.
