Job summary

Vertere Global Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator in Metro Manila to manage server infrastructure and daily operations in our IT environment.

You will install, configure, and maintain servers and applications, apply patches, and respond to outages, while ensuring security and data integrity.

The role requires 2–3 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field; location is Makati with on-site work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/IT or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of experience in Systems Administration.
• Experience maintaining servers and applications.

Responsibilities

• Install, support, and maintain servers and other computer systems.
• Install and configure software applications.
• Apply updates, patches, and configuration changes.
• Plan for outages and respond to system/network issues.
• Provide technical support and document configurations.
• Perform system backups and tune performance.
• Maintain system and server security.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Ensure the server environment is up and running.
• Enforce strong password rules and manage user accounts.
• Perform additional related duties as needed.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Install, support, and maintain servers and other computer systems.

• Install and configure software applications.

• Apply operating system and application/software updates, patches and configuration changes.

• Plan for and respond to service outages and other system or network related issues.

• Provide technical support.

• Perform system backup and system performance tuning.

• Maintain system and server security.

• Document system configuration.

• Performs system performance tuning

• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.

• Ensure that the server and system environment is up and running.

• Perform security roles by creating, revoking, locking, and applying strong password rules, remove expired login accounts, and terminate rogue processes.

• Other related functions that may be assigned as needed

Qualifications:

• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent field

• Has 2-3 years of work related experience in Systems Administration.
