Job summary

Private Advertiser seeks a Health, Safety, and Security Officer to safeguard people, property, and the environment within a large-scale industrial facility. This role supports the HSS Manager in implementing comprehensive management systems and fostering a zero-harm culture.

The ideal candidate has a Science/Engineering background, 3–5 years in safety management, and preferred SO3/Certified Security Professional credentials. Driver's license and strong MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering is required.
• Minimum 3 years in a safety management role in a large-scale industrial organization; or 5 years in a high-stakes operational role in a safety-conscious environment.
• Certified Safety Practitioner (SO3) under DOLE Safety legislations and Certified Security Professional preferred.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• Experienced in risk assessment, incident investigation, training delivery, procedure writing, and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Establish relationships with government bodies to ensure compliance with safety and security regulations.
• Oversee the readiness of the Emergency Response Team and maintain emergency equipment and response protocols.
• Deliver and drive safety programs across the site ensuring contractors and employees adhere to safety standards.
• Execute organizational protection goals aligned with the Health, Safety, and Security strategic plan.
• Manage hazard recognition, auditing, and inspections to mitigate risks.

Job description

Our organization (from the heavy industrial and manufacturing sector) is seeking a dedicated and proactive Health, Safety, and Security Officer. This role is critical in maintaining a culture of safety excellence and ensuring the protection of our people, property, and the environment within a large-scale operational facility.

As the HSS Officer for the site, you will support the HSS Manager in implementing and maintaining comprehensive management systems. Your primary goal is to foster a "zero-harm" culture and ensure the seamless execution of safety functions to prevent loss and manage operational risks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establishes and maintains professional relationships with government bodies (including DOLE-BWC, DOH, BFP, PPA, PNP, and AFP) to ensure full compliance with all national safety and security regulations.

• Oversees the readiness of the Emergency Response Team (ERT). Ensures all emergency equipment is expertly maintained and that response protocols are effective for any potential site incident.

• Delivers and drives safety programs across the site, ensuring both internal employees and external contractors adhere to our rigorous safety standards.

• Executes organizational protection goals in alignment with the broader Health, Safety, and Security strategic plan.

• Manages processes related to hazard recognition, auditing, and inspections to mitigate risks to life, property, and the environment.

Education & Experience:

• Must be a college graduate, preferably with a degree in a Science or Engineering field.

• Must have a minimum of three (3) years in a safety management role within a large-scale industrial organization; or a minimum of five (5) years in a high-stakes operational role within a "safety-conscious" environment.

• Preferably a Certified Safety Practitioner (SO3) under DOLE Safety legislations and a Certified Security Professional.

• Must have a valid Driver's License.

• Experienced safety professional skilled in risk assessment, incident investigation, training delivery, procedure writing, and MS Office applications.
