Job summary

PLDT is seeking a Senior Technical Accountant in Manila to provide authoritative guidance on complex transactions, lead derivatives and hedge assessments, and prepare technical memoranda for strategic initiatives.

Ideal candidates hold a CPA with Big Four/large financial institution experience, deep IFRS/PFRS knowledge, and strong financial modeling/valuation and ICFR exposure. US SEC reporting experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• CPA qualification required; accounting expertise in complex transactions.
• Experience in technical accounting from Big Four and/or large financial institutions.
• Deep expertise in derivatives, hedge accounting and valuation.
• Strong IFRS/PFRS knowledge and regulatory reporting familiarity.
• Experience in financial modeling and project valuation.
• ICFR/audit experience with internal controls over financial reporting.
• Ability to engage with senior management and external stakeholders.
• Experience with US SEC reporting or equivalents.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA);
• Extensive experience in technical accounting, preferably from Big Four accounting firms and/or large financial institutions;
• Deep expertise in accounting for derivatives, hedge accounting, financial instruments, and valuation;
• Strong understanding of IFRS/PFRS accounting standards, regulatory reporting requirements, and related applications;
• Extensive experience in financial modeling and financial valuation;
• Sound experience in audit and internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR);
• Proven ability to engage with senior management and external stakeholders; and
• Experience in US SEC reporting or equivalent.
