Job summary

Meralco PowerGen (MGEN) seeks a Project Controls Head to establish and manage the controls framework across power generation projects. You will lead cost, schedule, and document control, delivering timely health metrics to executives.

Responsibilities include setting policies, guiding a multi-disciplinary team, and ensuring financial governance. Strong leadership and deep experience in large industrial projects are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or Construction Management.
• 10–12 years of progressive experience in project controls for large-scale capital projects.
• At least 5 years in a leadership or Head role managing a multi-disciplinary Project Controls team.
• Demonstrable experience in the power generation, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sector.
• Professional certification (e.g., AACE International or PMP) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Establish standardized project controls policies, procedures, and reporting structures for cost, schedule, and change management.
• Lead and oversee the Project Controls team ensuring high performance and technical proficiency.
• Ensure activities comply with corporate financial standards and project finance requirements.
• Establish the control budget and track costs vs baseline; develop EAC and mitigations.
• Oversee EVM implementation and schedule integration with cost data.
• Prepare executive-level project controls reports on variances, risks, and profitability.
