Job summary

Asian Development Bank (ADB) invites applications for the Unit Head (Unit for Internal Communications) based in Manila, Philippines. The role leads the Internal Communications Unit within DCID to ensure stakeholders are informed, connected, and aligned with the bank's vision and activities.

The position requires extensive leadership, international experience, and expertise in internal communications and knowledge management.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent with 5+ years experience if no degree.
• At least 12 years of relevant experience including international work.
• Excellent written and verbal communications in English.
• Excellent stakeholder management with internal and external stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of internal communications and change communications.
• Experience with international development organizations; ADB experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for the Internal Communications unit.
• Develop governance, strategy, and policies for internal comms.
• Oversee internal messaging, campaigns, and events.
• Coordinate with departments to align and amplify messages.
• Oversee production and dissemination of internal materials and platforms.
• Lead staff engagement and feedback mechanisms.
• Plan HQ events with ADB Management and strategic comms.
• Develop and manage corporate digital tools like Intranet and SharePoint.
• Advance AI-powered tools integration across the Intranet.
• Support crisis and incident internal communications.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and performance reviews of contractors.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Director.
