Job summary

Asian Development Bank is seeking a Unit Head for the Unit for Internal Communications (HQ, Manila) to lead and oversee internal communications governance, messaging, and platforms. The role includes managing a team of professionals and coordinating with multiple departments to ensure unified communications aligned with ADB's mission.

The position requires a Master's degree with at least 12 years of international experience, English proficiency, and strong stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree or equivalent in relevant fields, or a university degree with at least 5 years specialized experience.
• At least 12 years of relevant working experience including international experience in multiple countries.
• Strong knowledge of development and communication issues in the Asia-Pacific context.
• Familiarity with international development organizations; experience with ADB is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English.
• Excellent stakeholder management across internal/external partners.
• Understanding of internal/change communications.
• Refer to ADB Competency Framework for TI3.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the Internal Communications Unit.
• Develop governance, strategy, and policies for internal communications.
• Oversee internal messaging, campaigns, and events.
• Coordinate with departments to align and amplify internal messages.
• Manage production, editing, and dissemination of internal communications materials and platforms.
• Plan HQ events involving ADB Management and strategic internal communications.
• Develop and manage corporate digital communications tools, including the ADB Intranet and OneADB Today newsletter.
• Support AI-powered tool integration across the intranet.
• Lead recruitment and performance reviews of internal communications staff/consultants.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Director, DCID.
