HEAD OF EMPLOYEE AND INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS

This role is designed for strategic industrial relations leaders, not traditional HR administrators.

We’ve been exclusively retained to secure a high-impact leader for a fast-growing, category-defining organization that views its workforce as its most competitive advantage. This company operates at the intersection of high performance and employee wellbeing, requiring a sophisticated bridge between management objectives and labor harmony.

As the Head of Employee and Industrial Relations, you will operate at a principal level, architecting the frameworks for union‑management partnerships and lead‑level grievance resolution. You will be the primary guardian of the workplace experience, influencing executive decision‑making on labor strategy, OSH standards, and organizational stability.

You will be trusted to manage the complex IR landscape with autonomy, legal precision, and high‑stakes judgment.

Industrial Scope: Complex labor environments; union‑management partnership; CBA strategy

Strategic Influence: Executive‑level advisory on labor laws, compliance, and workplace culture

Domain Advantage: Deep expertise in Philippine Labor Law (DOLE) and OSH standards

This is a full‑time, hybrid‑enabled role for seasoned IR professionals who consistently deliver stability and engagement in high‑expectation environments.

What You’ll Own:

Strategic Labor & Industrial Relations Leadership

Architect and execute comprehensive industrial and labor relations strategies, ensuring a high‑performance work environment.

Lead the framework development for Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) provisions, ensuring sustainable and collaborative union‑management relations.

Act as the lead arbiter for complex grievance management and administrative case processes, ensuring fairness and legal defensibility.

Exercise independent judgment on employment law compliance, risk assessment, and labor standards.

Executive Advisory & Compliance Stewardship

Engage business leaders and stakeholders as a trusted advisor on Philippine labor laws, DOLE regulations, and OSH requirements.

Drive compliance across all organizational levels, ensuring the company remains ahead of regulatory changes and workplace safety standards.

Build compelling business cases for IR initiatives that connect labor harmony to overall business productivity and retention.

Employee Engagement & Workplace Experience

Design and develop management practices specifically aimed at elevating the workplace experience and employee morale.

Lead internal communication programs and work‑life initiatives that drive a cohesive company culture.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal HR teams and external partners to ensure ER/IR initiatives align with broader human capital goals.

Standards, Culture & Professional Maturity

Model the highest standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism when handling sensitive organizational information.

Maintain disciplined reporting and data‑driven insights through HRIS or case management systems to inform leadership decisions.

What You Bring To The Table:

Industrial Relations Expertise (Non‑Negotiable)

10+ years of progressive experience in employee relations, labor relations, or HR operations, with a proven track record in leadership roles.

Direct experience in CBA negotiations and managing complex unionized environments.

Deep mastery of Philippine Labor Laws, DOLE regulations, and OSH standards.

Executive Presence & Strategic Communication

Proven ability to influence senior leadership and external agencies through clear, credible, and outcomes‑oriented communication.

Strong writing and coordination skills, with the ability to translate complex legal or labor issues into actionable business strategies.

Demonstrated maturity in managing high‑conflict situations with composure and tactical precision.

Educational Foundation & Technical Savvy

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Industrial Relations, Legal Management, or a related field.

Proficiency in HRIS and case management tools, with a comfort level in using data to track ER/IR trends and health.

Location & Schedule Flexibility

This is a full‑time, hybrid‑enabled role for professionals based in or near Metro Manila.

The role requires comfort with:

In‑person union and stakeholder negotiations

High‑stakes administrative hearings

On‑demand collaboration with leadership and site‑based teams

Being Manila‑based enables close engagement with key regulatory bodies and organizational leadership.

Your Future Starts Here. Are You Ready?

If you are a strategic Industrial Relations leader who thrives in complex labor environments, influences executive decisions, and builds lasting workplace harmony, this role offers the platform to shape an enterprise culture and leave a measurable impact on thousands of lives.

While we’d love to respond to every application, we’ll only be reaching out to shortlisted candidates. Thank you for your understanding and interest.
