Job summary

BDO Unibank in the Philippines seeks a Section Head of Digital Channels Engineering to lead the operational health and performance of our digital banking applications. This hands-on leader will manage multiple teams and oversee critical platform initiatives.

You will drive technical debt reduction, optimize speed and availability, and ensure stability of core applications and back-office portals. The ideal candidate has a track record in financial services and translates strategy into execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10–12 years of enterprise software development experience.
• At least 5–7 years in technical leadership or management.
• Proven experience leading technical teams in digital banking or financial services.
• Willing to work onsite in Ortigas, Philippines.

Responsibilities

• Execute the technical roadmap for the digital banking platform.
• Lead the strategy for managing and reducing the platform's technical debt.
• Drive optimization to improve speed and availability of platform applications.
• Directly manage a team of Resolution Managers and define incident response processes.
• Oversee stability of the back-office portal and monitor KPIs and SLAs.
