Job summary

Chinabank PH seeks a Data Science Lead to steer the development of advanced analytics, ML, and AI solutions that drive business growth. You will lead a team of data professionals, partner with stakeholders, and shape data-driven decision-making across the organization.

You will define and execute the data science strategy, mentor the team, and oversee end-to-end projects—from ideation to deployment and optimization—while collaborating with IT to ensure data quality, governance, and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, statistics, or engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• At least 10 years in data science/analytics with 5+ in leadership and banking experience.
• Strong modeling, ML, and predictive analytics capabilities.
• Proficiency in Python or R; SQL; data visualization with Tableau or Power BI.
• Familiarity with big data (Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Solid project management and stakeholder management experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the organization's data science strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data scientists while fostering innovation.
• Partner with business units to identify opportunities where data science improves performance and customer experience.
• Develop predictive models and ML solutions to solve complex business challenges.
• Oversee end-to-end data science projects from ideation to deployment and optimization.
• Collaborate with IT and other teams to ensure data quality, governance, security, and scalability.
• Present insights and business impact to senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Explore emerging technologies and innovative AI applications.
