Job summary

Chinabank PH seeks a Data Science Lead to steer the development of advanced analytics, ML, and AI solutions that drive business growth. You will lead a team of data professionals, partner with stakeholders, and shape data-driven decision-making across the organization.

You will define and execute the data science strategy, mentor the team, and oversee end-to-end projects—from ideation to deployment and optimization—while collaborating with IT to ensure data quality, governance, and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, statistics, or engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• At least 10 years in data science/analytics with 5+ in leadership and banking experience.
• Strong modeling, ML, and predictive analytics capabilities.
• Proficiency in Python or R; SQL; data visualization with Tableau or Power BI.
• Familiarity with big data (Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Solid project management and stakeholder management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering). Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Data Science or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role, and relevant banking experience.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, machine learning, and predictive analytics.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R. Experience with data manipulation and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
• Familiarity with big data technologies and cloud platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, AWS, Azure) is advantageous.
• Project management experience including planning, initiation, resource allocation, risk & issue management, and stakeholder management are required.
