Job summary

Home Credit Philippines seeks a Head of Business Development to drive growth by identifying new markets and forming strategic partnerships. You will lead a team, develop business cases, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to execute initiatives that ensure sustainable expansion.

The role requires deep financial analysis, strong negotiation and presentation skills, and proven team leadership. You will shape business proposals and manage external collaborations across consumer finance

Qualifications

  • Ten years or more in banking, finance, business development, or related fields.
  • Strong ability to build business cases and evaluate partnerships.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities and growth projects.
  • Coordinate with internal teams on commercial, operational, financial, risk, legal, and product implications.
  • Prepare business proposals, cost-benefit analyses, and recommendations papers.

About The Job

The Head of Business Development supports the company’s growth agenda by identifying and exploring new business opportunities. Head of Business Development leads team that evaluates and develop with partners new market and partnership opportunities, prepares business cases and investor materials, and works closely with internal and external stakeholders to execute initiatives that support sustainable business growth.

What You’ll Do
Business Development and Growth Initiatives
  • Develop a structured framework for identifying, evaluating, and pursuing new market opportunities and growth projects
  • Conduct market research, industry benchmarking, and feasibility reviews to assess potential business opportunities.
  • Prepare business proposals, cost-benefit analyses, and recommendation papers for new initiatives.
  • Coordinate with relevant internal teams to assess commercial, operational, financial, risk, legal, and product implications of proposed opportunities.
  • Support the review of contracts and commercial documents related to business development initiatives.
  • Track progress of business development projects and ensure alignment with agreed objectives, timelines, and expected business outcomes.
Partnership and External Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain relationships with banks, non-bank financial institutions, fintech players, technology companies, remittance companies, and other potential business partners.
  • Explore partnership opportunities within the consumer finance, financial services, fintech, and broader consumer industry space.
  • Represent the company in business development discussions with external parties, as needed.
  • Support the development of partnership models that contribute to company growth.
Leadership and Team Management
  • Lead and guide the Business Development team in delivering funding and business development priorities.
  • Provide direction, coaching, and performance support to direct reports.
  • Ensure clear ownership, structured follow-through, and timely delivery of assigned initiatives.
  • Build team capability in research, financial analysis, presentation development, stakeholder coordination, and project execution.
What You Need To Have
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in banking, finance, business development, project management, product development, corporate development, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis, business case preparation, and commercial evaluation.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working with senior internal and external stakeholders. Strong project management and execution capability.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to prepare clear business decks, proposals, cost-benefit analyses, and management-level recommendations.
  • Experience in leading, coaching, or managing a small team.
