Job summary

Ethos is seeking heads of engineering to help train a language model on professional documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks. You will create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated documents across core workflows such as technical design documents, data pipelines, API specs, and architecture diagrams.

The role is fully remote with ASMs ASAP start, offering $80/hour and a flexible commitment of 5-20 hours per week (or more if desired).

Qualifications

• 4+ years writing technical design documents, data pipeline documentation, or API specifications.
• Direct experience evaluating model outputs or system readiness and documenting technical tradeoffs for engineering or cross-functional stakeholders.
• Expert-level document, spreadsheet, and slide craftsmanship with excellent written communication and attention to detail.
