Job summary

Cevio Hotel Corporation is building a skilled engineering leader to guide the pre-opening phase and opening of a new property in Tacloban. You will manage testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP and life-safety systems, ensuring safety compliance and timely project delivery.

You will lead budgeting, vendor management, and the development of SOPs for ongoing maintenance. A strong focus on team recruitment, training, and defect resolution before launch is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hotel engineering management experience, with pre-opening or major renovation exposure.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Deep technical knowledge of hotel MEP systems, energy management, and local building codes.
• Strong project management, vendor management, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee testing, commissioning, defect inspection, and handover of all MEP, HVAC, and fire life safety systems.
• Ensure all technical, environmental, health, safety, and government permits are secured prior to opening.
• Set up initial operating budgets, asset registers, service contracts, and SOPs for maintenance.
• Recruit, onboard, and train the engineering team on safety protocols and daily facilities management.
• Identify defects and coordinate with contractors to resolve issues before launch.

About the role

Lead the engineering and facilities department during the pre-opening phase and into operational launch. Oversee testing, commissioning, building compliance, and snagging/defect rectifications, to ensure the hotel opens safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee testing, commissioning, defect inspection, and handover of all MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), HVAC, and fire life safety systems from contractors




• Ensure all technical, environmental, health, safety, and government operational permits are secured prior to opening




• Setup initial operating budgets, asset registers, service contracts, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for ongoing maintenance




• Recruit, onboard, and train the engineering team on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and daily facilities management




• Identify structural and technical defects across guest rooms and public areas, working with contractors to resolve them before launch

About you

• 5+ years of hotel engineering management experience, with specific pre-opening or major renovation experience required




• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil preferred)




• Deep technical knowledge of hotel MEP systems, energy management, and local building codes




• Strong project management, vendor management, and leadership skills
