Job summary

Smarthouse Corporation in Metro Manila seeks an experienced Senior Architect to lead the Architectural Team across branches. You will oversee concepts, floor plans, elevations, and construction drawings, ensuring designs meet standards for prefab steel structures.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and cross-functional coordination with Construction, Engineering, Planning, Sales and other departments. Licensed architect with PRC is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture required.
• Licensed Architect (PRC) is required.
• Master's degree is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Architectural Team, including Branch Architects and staff.
• Oversee development of concepts, designs, floor plans, elevations, and drawings.
• Establish and maintain design standards across branches and projects.
• Review and approve plans, drawings, specs, and proposals.
• Ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and suitable for prefab steel structures.
• Coordinate with Construction Management, Technical, Planning, Engineering, Sales, and others.
• Provide guidance for complex architectural and construction-related concerns.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and standards.
• Monitor design progress and timely submission of deliverables.
• Review and improve Smarthouse designs and modular concepts.
• Lead development of innovative prefab designs for residential, commercial, etc.
• Conduct design reviews, site coordination, and assessments.
• Mentor and develop architects and junior staff.
• Assist management in evaluating design feasibility and proposals.
• Maintain consistency in Smarthouse's architectural identity and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Architectural Team, including Branch Architects and architectural staff.

• Oversee the development of architectural concepts, designs, floor plans, elevations, and construction drawings.

• Establish and maintain architectural design standards, guidelines, and best practices across all Smarthouse branches and projects.

• Review and approve architectural plans, drawings, specifications, and design proposals before implementation.

• Ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, structurally appropriate, and suitable for prefabricated steel structures.

• Coordinate closely with Construction Management, Technical, Planning, Engineering, Sales, and other departments.

• Provide technical guidance and solutions for complex architectural and construction-related concerns.

• Ensure all architectural plans comply with applicable building codes, regulations, permits, and professional standards.

• Monitor project design progress and ensure timely submission of required architectural deliverables.

• Review and improve existing Smarthouse designs, layouts, and modular building concepts.

• Lead the development of innovative and functional prefab building designs suitable for residential, commercial, institutional, and other applications.

• Conduct design reviews, site coordination, and project assessments when necessary.

• Mentor and develop architects and junior architectural staff.

• Assist management in evaluating design feasibility, project requirements, and architectural proposals.

• Maintain consistency in Smarthouse's architectural identity, quality, and design standards across projects.

Job Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.

• Licensed Architect (PRC) is required.

• Master's Degree in Architecture or related field is an advantage.

Experience

• At least 3-10 years of relevant architectural experience.

• Proven experience in handling and leading architectural teams.

• Experience in project design, design development, and construction documentation.

• Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or prefabricated/modular construction is an advantage.

• Experience working with multiple projects or branches is highly preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of architectural design, planning, and construction documentation.

• Excellent understanding of the National Building Code of the Philippines and other applicable regulations.

• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Lumion or other relevant architectural software.

• Knowledge of prefabricated construction, steel structures, modular systems, and construction methods is an advantage.

• Ability to review architectural plans, specifications, material selections, and construction details.

• Strong understanding of design coordination with structural, MEPF, and construction requirements.
