Job summary

Panasonic Manufacturing Philippines Corp. is seeking a Hardware Specialist to lead electronic hardware development for air-conditioning products, ensuring technology transfer from regional R&D centers to PMPC.

You will support new product development, localization, design improvements, and capability building within the Engineering Center. Responsibilities include establishing hardware standards, leading PCB/SMT design, evaluating components, and overseeing testing before mass production while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Registered Electronics Engineer is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electronic hardware design and development.
• Experience in PCB design, SMT processes, and product validation.
• Familiarity with HVAC or appliance products is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and establish hardware development standards, guidelines, and technical documentation.
• Lead electronic hardware design activities for current and future HVAC products.
• Evaluate new electronic components and manage component replacement due to obsolescence or EOL requirements.
• Conduct electrical testing, validation, and verification activities before mass production.
• Troubleshoot hardware-related issues and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers and internal teams.
• Support technology transfer projects from PTW and ACBD Japan.
• Create standard operating procedures and mentor junior engineers.
• Coordinate with third-party suppliers regarding PCB assembly and SMT processes.

About the role

The Hardware Specialist is responsible for leading electronic hardware development activities for air-conditioning products, ensuring successful technology transfer from regional R&D centers to PMPC.
