Job summary

AIRGUARD AND PESTGUARD PROFESSIONAL OPC in Manila is seeking a Technical Service Engineer to supervise, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and install air conditioning, HVAC, and exhaust systems. The role ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and to client specifications.

You will oversee technicians, coordinate service schedules, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with safety standards. A Bachelor's degree in engineering and 2–3 years of HVAC experience are required;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Licensed Mechanical or Electrical Engineer preferred.
• 2–3 years in AC/HVAC, refrigeration, or building facilities maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of air conditioning, ventilation, electrical & mechanical systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to conduct site inspections and field work.
• Willing to work flexible schedules including weekends/holidays.
• Driver's license is an advantage.

Job Summary
The Technical Service Engineer is responsible for supervising, inspecting, troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and installing air conditioning, HVAC, and exhaust systems. The position ensures that all service works are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inspection, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and installation of air conditioning and HVAC systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of split-type, window-type, floor-mounted, ceiling-mounted, package, and other AC systems.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and control system issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Supervise and guide technicians during AC, HVAC, and exhaust system service activities.
• Oversee exhaust fan, kitchen exhaust, ducting, blower, and ventilation system maintenance, repair, and installation.
• Conduct site inspections and assess equipment conditions, service requirements, and technical concerns.
• Prepare technical reports, service reports, inspection reports, and recommendations.
• Ensure proper execution of work based on approved scope, specifications, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with clients, supervisors, technicians, and other departments regarding service schedules and technical concerns.
• Monitor the quality and completion of assigned service works.
• Ensure proper use, handling, and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials.
• Identify additional repair or maintenance requirements and provide appropriate technical recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, occupational safety requirements, and proper work procedures.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the service team when necessary.
• Perform other technical and service-related duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Preferably a Licensed Mechanical Engineer (PME/RME) or Licensed Electrical Engineer (PEE/REE).
• With at least 2-3 years of experience in air conditioning, HVAC, refrigeration, exhaust, or building facilities maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and ventilation systems.
• Experience in AC and exhaust system installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.
• Knowledge of refrigeration cycle, electrical controls, motors, compressors, pumps, fans, blowers, and control systems.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, electrical diagrams, equipment manuals, and specifications.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to supervise technicians and effectively coordinate service activities.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Willing to conduct site inspections and field work.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in different work environments, including rooftops, commercial establishments, mechanical rooms, and other service areas.
• Willing to work on flexible schedules, overtime, weekends, or holidays when required by operations.
• Must be responsible, reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• With valid driver's license is an advantage.
