Job summary

Chinese International School Manila, Inc. is seeking a licensed Guidance Counselor to support middle and high school students with personal, emotional, behavioral, social, and academic concerns.

The role involves teaching Life Skills and Personality Development to Grade 6–9, coordinating with teachers, parents, and administrators, and maintaining confidential counseling records. Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered Guidance Counselor (RGC).
• Preferably a Licensed Professional Teacher (LPT).
• Experience with middle and high school students.
• Life Skills/Personality Development teaching or facilitation experience is a plus.
• Strong counseling and conflict-resolution skills.
• Provide confidential counseling for personal, emotional, behavioral, social, and academic concerns.
• Maintain confidential counseling records and adapt interventions as needed.
• Coordinate with teachers, administrators, parents and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Teach Life Skills and Personality Development to Grade 6–9 students.
• Coordinate with teachers, administrators, parents, and other stakeholders regarding student concerns and interventions.
• Conduct parent consultations, case conferences, and family meetings as needed.
• Support students with developmental concerns, including learning difficulties and interpersonal relationships.
• Provide professional and confidential individual or group counseling to students, staff, and parents.
• Identify at-risk students and refer to appropriate counseling strategies or external referrals.
• Facilitate mediation and conflict resolution among students and between students and teachers.
• Maintain confidential counseling records and perform related administrative duties.
