Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to support students' personal, social, and academic development.
• Provide academic advising and assist students in planning their schedules
• Guide students in exploring career options suited to their interests and skills, and provide resources and advice on future opportunities.
• Mediate student conflicts and facilitate the development of interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
• Provide immediate support and resources to students dealing with crisis situations, including but not limited to bullying, abuse, and mental health concerns.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and parents to support student success and develop appropriate intervention strategies.
• Identify at-risk students and refer them to the appropriate professionals, such as psychologists, psychiatrists, or other health professionals when necessary.
• Develop and implement comprehensive counseling programs that promote a positive school environment and student well-being.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential records of student progress and counseling sessions.
• Stay current with the latest counseling techniques, emerging issues in education, and legal mandates affecting student welfare.

Qualifications

• College degree/Master’s Degree/Registered Guidance Counselor.
• 1–2 years in Guidance and Counseling Services.
• Knowledgeable in guidance and counseling; strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; empathetic and analytical; effective in working with diverse student populations; a critical thinker who is independent and self-motivated.
