Job summary

Pasig Green Christian School is seeking a licensed Guidance Counselor to support students’ personal, social, emotional, and academic development. The role requires a BS in Psychology or related behavioral field and at least 1 year of experience in guidance counseling.

Responsibilities

• Counseling and Student Support: Provide evidence-based counselling services addressing personal, social, emotional, and academic concerns.
• Attends to psycho-emotional needs to support academic performance and Christian formation.
• Implements mental health emergency protocols and supports at-risk students, ensuring safety and well-being.
• Refer students to psychologist and other mental health issues.
• Assessment and Case Management: Assess mental health needs using psychological/admission tests and categorize for interventions.
• Follow case documentation protocols to maintain accurate, confidential records.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and external professionals; participate in case conferences.
• Program Development and Implementation: Design and implement guidance programs, learning sessions, trainings aligned with students’ needs and Christian values.
• Career Guidance and Student Information: Provide career counseling and assist SHS applications, jobs, scholarships.
• Administrative Functions: Prepare reports on counseling activities and student progress; support program implementation.

• Assesses student's mental health needs using psychological and admission tests and categorizes them for appropriate interventions.


• Follows case documentation protocols to maintain accurate, systematic, and confidential records for all counselling cases.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

• Collaborates with teachers, administrators, parents, and external professionals to ensure effective and holistic service delivery for students.


• Participates in case conferences and coordination meetings as needed.

Program Development and Implementation:

• Designs and implements guidance programs, learning sessions, workshops, and relevant trainings aligned with students' needs and PGPCSI's Christian values.


• Conducts research to improve and contextualize guidance services, ensuring relevance and effectiveness.

Career Guidance and Student Information:

• Provides career counseling to assist students in making informed decisions aligned with their strengths and interests.


• Supports and participates in school-wide information programs and mental health initiatives.


• Assists with Senior High School (SHS) applications, jobs, and scholarships.

Administrative Functions:

• Prepares and submits timely reports on counseling activities, student progress, and program implementation.


• Carries out duties and responsibilities germane to the programs of the unit/office, as assigned, to support the overall mission of PGPCSI.


• Orients the Green Shepherds on the Student Conduct and Discipline.
