Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking a Strategy and Operations Associate to own growth and retention initiatives end-to-end, coordinating with multiple departments and executing plans with minimal oversight.

You will analyze marketplace data using Excel/Sheets and SQL where possible, validate insights by talking to drivers or customers, and build concrete business cases for stakeholders. The role adapts to shifting priorities across verticals and regional launches.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in strategy, operations, consulting, or a related analytical role.
• Track record of owning execution end-to-end with minimal oversight.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned initiatives independently, from problem framing through setup and implementation.
• Analyze marketplace data (Excel/Sheets, SQL a plus) to identify trends in activation, retention, and churn, and model the impact of proposed changes.
• Engage directly with drivers or customers to validate what the data is showing and understand the problem firsthand.
• Identify issues as they come up in day-to-day operations, and work through them to a solution.
• Coordinate with Product, Operations, Marketing, or BD to surface issues with evidence and follow through to resolution.
• Conduct market and competitor research to support initiatives and business cases.
• Build clear recommendations and business cases for the Manager and stakeholders when an initiative needs a decision.
• Get staffed onto special projects and regional or vertical launches as assigned, executing the piece you own.
• Document processes for programs that are currently informal or undocumented.
