Job summary

Hallmark Mining Corporation in the Philippines is seeking a Mining Engineer to supervise sample collectors and mappers, design grade control strategies and optimize ore extraction with minimal dilution.

You will coordinate with mine planning, monitor inventory and ensure blending plans align with production goals and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed Mining Engineer.
• 1–3 years experience in Mining Operation.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Capable of multitasking with strong leadership and communication.
• Basic knowledge in Surpac and Aromap.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Sample Collectors for proper turnover of samples to Assay Dept. using transmittal.
• Supervise PY Mappers and MY Mappers to locate piles for harvesting and ore trans.
• Design and implement grade control strategies to optimize ore extraction and minimize dilution.
• Develop strategies to minimize the impact of grade variability on production.
• Ensure grade control activities align with the mine's operational and strategic objectives.
• Generate blending plan as guide for the production activities.
• Submit daily inventory report to Mine Operational Manager.
• Report grade control deficiencies to discuss with the mine operations team.
• Monitor deliveries and withdrawal of ore and general inventory in the Pier Yard and Mine Yards using Mine Operational Database.
• Proactively implement adjustments to cope up with the target grade of loaded ore to vessel.

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the Sample Collectors for proper turnover of samples to Assay Dept. using transmittal
• Supervise PY Mappers and MY Mappers to locate piles for harvesting and ore trans
• Design and implement grade control strategies to optimize ore extraction and minimize dilution
• Develop strategies to minimize the impact of grade variability on production
• Ensure that grade control activities align with the mine's operational and strategic objectives

About you

• Monitor dilution factor and effectiveness of the blending plan based on the turnout quality released by laboratory
• Study and plan how to optimize utilization of the materials delivered in the stockyard
• Properly coordinate and communicate with the mine planning engineer and mine operations manager to effectively relay the blending plan and adjustments of the mixing ratio
• Ensure the grade control activities comply with environmental and safety regulations

Qualification:

• Licensed Mining Engineer
• At Least 1-3 years experience in Mining Operation
• Written, verbal, and computer skills (MS Word, Excel and PPT)
• Capable in multitasking job, have strong leadership and excellent communication skills
• Basic knowledge in using mining software applications such as Surpac and Aromap
