Job summary

Carmen Copper Corporation seeks a licensed Metallurgical/Chemical/Mechanical Engineer to drive strategic planning for Mill Operations. The role focuses on cost-effective management, safety, and adherence to environmental and legal standards.

Responsibilities include planning dewatering operations to meet production and grade targets, optimizing resource use, and leading projects to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while monitoring equipment and ensuring availability of support gear for loading

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Metallurgical, Chemical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer.
• With at least 10 years experience in Mineral Processing, Plant and Equipment Operations and Process control.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize dewatering operations to meet target concentrate production and grade.
• Control resources to minimize costs and maintain efficiencies.
• Identify contingencies affecting flotation and copper dewatering operations over 3–5 years.
• Manage operation and manpower of Low Grade Cleaner, Regrind Ball Mill, Filtration, Thickening operation and Concentrate Loading.
• Lead Dewatering Operations projects and formulate steps for on-time, on-budget implementation.
• Monitor major equipment parts and consumables to ensure continuous operation.
• Ensure support equipment availability in coordination with Heavy Equipment for loading activity.
• Evaluate data and provide direction in mill planning.

Responsible forthe strategic planning in the attainment of Mill Operations’ objectives in cost effective management, safety, legal and environmental compliance.

Major Job Functions:

1. Plans and organizes the Dewatering Operations activities to ensure attainment of target concentrate production and grade.
2. Controls the use of all resources to ensure that costs are minimized and efficiencies are maintained.
3. Identifies critical contingencies affecting the Flotation and Copper Dewatering Operations in the next 3-5 years in terms of economic, environmental, social and physical conditions and forecasts future conditions.
4. Manages the operation and manpower of Low Grade Cleaner, Regrind Ball Mill, Filtration, Thickening operation and Concentrate Loading.
5. Spearheads Dewatering Operations projects and formulates actions steps to ensure on time and on budget implementation.
6. Monitors major equipment parts and consumables (pumps, filter cloth, plates, regrind mill liners, etc.) to ensure continuous operation.
7. Ensures support equipment availability (pay loader and skid loaders) in coordination with Heavy Equipment (H.E.) for unhampered concentrate loading activity.
8. Evaluates data and provides direction in the development of mill plans.
