Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Work Placement & Migration Specialist to strategically manage placement and migration of work across Global Shared Services locations, aligning with service delivery models and standards.

The role focuses on leading new work transitions, offshoring initiatives, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliant, efficient migrations in a fast-paced, global environment.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Transition Management, Migrations, and Project Management.
• Experience leading large transition projects involving 150 FTEs or more.
• Strong project management skills and experience managing complex and dynamic transition projects.
• PRINCE2 Practitioner or PMP certification is required.
• Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred.
• Experience working in a global business environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively as a team player.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Excellent presentation skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to multitask, manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment, and effectively handle challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead all new work and offshoring initiatives, including new work transitions and 1:1 transfers, for accounts within the assigned geographical scope, business scale, and impact area.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to monitor and report compliance with work placement standards and decisions.
• Lead the migration of work based on the service catalogue, ensuring consistency, recording exceptions, and reducing fragmentation.
• Make informed decisions on work placement within the GSC, balancing strategic priorities, capabilities, and compliance requirements.
• Define work scope and assess the appropriate placement of tasks.
• Evaluate FTE requirements based on standard guidelines and principles.
• Ensure effective communication among internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Apply a strong analytical mindset to support decision-making and problem-solving.
• Lead planning and reporting activities related to work placement and migration initiatives.
