Job summary

Sony Pictures Entertainment is seeking a Manager, Global Accounting – TV Distribution in the Philippines. You will lead end-to-end close, reporting, and analysis for Worldwide TV Distribution, coordinating with GFO and Capgemini to ensure accurate financial results. The role requires 5–7+ years of accounting experience, GAAP/IFRS knowledge, and leadership of outsourcing partners.

A CPA is preferred. This position operates on a permanent night shift with location in Manila and collaboration

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business required.
CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
Typically 5-7+ years of relevant accounting experience including close/reporting ownership.
Prior leadership or outsourced provider oversight preferred.
Experience in LOB, territory, or shared services accounting is a plus.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end close activities for assigned areas (monthly, quarterly, year-end).
Ensure accuracy of overheads, costs, balance sheets and reporting outputs.
Review journals, reconciliations, schedules, accruals, and allocations for distribution costs and overhead.
Provide analysis of revenue, reserves, intercompany balances, leases, and other complex areas.
Ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance and SOX controls for assigned areas.
Supervise outsourced providers and ensure quality and timeliness of outputs.
Deliver cost and performance insights to support decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial outcomes.
