Job summary

Sony Pictures Entertainment in Manila seeks a Manager, Global Accounting – TV Distribution to lead end-to-end close processes for assigned areas and liaise with GFO, Capgemini, and local stakeholders. You will drive accuracy, efficiency, and consistency in financial reporting across territories.

Role requires extensive close experience, senior leadership, and the ability to manage outsourced providers while ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS, SOX controls, and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Typically 5–7+ years of relevant accounting experience, including close/reporting ownership.
• Prior people leadership or outsourced provider oversight preferred.
• Experience supporting LOB, territory, legal entity, or shared service accounting environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Close monthly, quarterly and year-end close activities for assigned areas.
• Ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance and accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee outsourced providers to ensure quality and timeliness of outputs.
• Deliver variance analysis and financial insights to FP&A.
• Support statutory reporting, audits, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive governance and improvements.
