Job summary

Sony Pictures Entertainment in Manila seeks an Assistant Manager, Global Accounting to support the monthly close, reporting, and process improvement across assigned territories and entities. This role partners with GFO, Divisional Finance, and outsourced providers (e.g., Capgemini) to ensure accurate financial statements and adherence to GAAP/IFRS.

You will lead close activities, perform variance analysis, support audits, and drive continuous improvement while working the night shift to align

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business; CPA preferred.
• 4–6+ years of accounting experience, including close/reporting.
• Experience coordinating workstreams or supporting outsourced providers.
• Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting.
• ERP proficiency (SAP) and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close for assigned areas.
• Ensure accuracy of P&L and balance sheet per GAAP/IFRS.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, close schedules.
• Assist statutory audits and tax reporting processes.
• Coordinate with Capgemini and other providers.
• Prepare actual vs. budget/forecast analyses.
