Job summary

Umpisa Inc. seeks a QA Lead to drive testing strategy across mobile and web applications, ensuring quality throughout the SDLC.

You will own test planning, automation, and collaboration with developers, product owners, and clients to deliver reliable software. The role requires 5+ years in QA with leadership experience, strong automation skills (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright), and a track record of building high-performing QA teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in quality assurance or software testing, with at least 2 years in a QA leadership or management role.
• Proven experience building and leading a QA team, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
• Strong understanding of manual and automated testing methodologies across web and/or mobile applications.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar).
• Experience designing and maintaining test plans, test cases, and QA documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example in performing mobile and web software testing, verification and validation.
• Set best practices and high standards for quality management of project deliverables.
• Prepare team plan for implementation and maintenance of the Automated Test Suite and DevOps pipeline.
• Oversee QA automation projects and report progress to clients and stakeholders.
• Serve as the main quality gatekeeper within the agile team and own QA activities.
