Job summary

Umpisa Inc. in the Philippines seeks a QA Lead (Manual and Automation) who will oversee end-to-end Quality Assurance, drive test strategy, planning, and execution, and mentor the QA team across web, API, and mobile testing.

The Senior QA Lead / QA Manager will strengthen automation frameworks, govern QA standards, and collaborate with Engineering, Product and DevOps to embed quality into the SDLC and ensure secure, reliable releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field.
• At least 7+ years in QA/Software Testing, with 3+ years in senior/lead/manager role.
• Strong manual and automated testing experience across web, API, and mobile apps.
• Hands-on with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress or Playwright.
• Experience designing/maintaining automation frameworks and improving coverage.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA activities across mobile and web software testing, verification and validation.
• Set best practices and high standards for quality management of deliverables.
• Plan and maintain automated test suites and DevOps integration.
• Manage QA automation projects end-to-end and report progress to clients.
• Act as main quality gate keeper within the agile team and ensure QA governance.
