Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd in the Philippines is seeking a Senior Oracle DBA to manage the core Oracle EBS and middleware stack. This is a dedicated 24/7 Global Infrastructure & DBA support role focused on backend administration, upgrades, patching, and incident resolution.

You will own stability, performance, and lifecycle of Oracle environments, participate in major incident calls, and drive RCA while working across on-site and remote teams.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience as Oracle DBA/Apps DBA in large enterprise environments.
• Hands-on with Oracle 19c/23ai, patching, cloning, backups (RMAN) and performance tuning.
• Experience with Oracle Middleware and WebLogic 12c; strong ITIL awareness.
• Knowledge of high availability, clustering (Oracle RAC) and replication concepts.
• Proficient in Linux (Red Hat) and Windows Server; scripting with Unix Shell, PowerShell, or Ansible.
• Ability to manage incidents, outages, and SLAs in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide global 24/7 DBA coverage for Oracle Databases, EBS, and WebLogic.
• Own major incidents, drive RCAs, and coordinate migrations and changes.
• Deliver operational support for database issues arising from incidents or changes.
• Offer root-cause analysis for performance issues and failures.
• Collaborate with project teams for smooth transitions of new databases into Production.
• Work with management to ensure cohesive operations and best practices.
• Review and recommend improvements to the database infrastructure.
• Establish and maintain DR procedures and documentation.
• Monitor, test, and capacity plan for databases.
• Participate in on-call rotation and support IT continuity initiatives.
