Job summary

Dexcom Philippines seeks a highly experienced Staff Database Administrator to lead the management, optimization, and support of our enterprise database environment. The role focuses on Oracle EBS, Oracle database, and Oracle Linux, ensuring reliability, performance, and security.

You will design, configure, and support multiple database platforms, tune performance, manage DR with RMAN/Data Guard, and provide 24x7 on-call support aligned with US/EMEA hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of progressive experience in database administration across Oracle Database (including RAC, ASM, Data Guard) and Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS).
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL scripting skills.
• Deep understanding of database architecture, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.
• Familiarity with data security standards (encryption, auditing, access controls).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead complex database projects.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills under tight deadlines.
• Typically requires a minimum of 8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Preferred Qualifications: Oracle DBA certifications, experience with OEM, and experience with other enterprise apps like Oracle BI, FCCS, Oracle WMS.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, administer, and support multiple database platforms: Oracle (incl. EBS R12).
• Expert on Oracle EBS database performance tuning, operation, monitoring, and scripting.
• Manage Oracle EBS application tier and troubleshoot long-running jobs.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions using RMAN/Data Guard.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support aligned with global business hours.
• Collaborate with Development and DBA teams for design, deployment, and performance optimization.
• Enforce data governance, security, and compliance with policies and SLAs.
