Job summary

Dexcom is hiring a Staff Database Administrator to lead Oracle EBS and Oracle DB operations across enterprise systems. The role focuses on performance tuning, high availability, and security, with on-call rotations and global time-zone support.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in Oracle DB/EBS administration, strong SQL/PL-SQL skills, and experience with RMAN, Data Guard, and OEM monitoring. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent).
• 8+ years of progressive experience in database administration including Oracle DB and EBS.
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL scripting skills.
• Familiarity with data security standards and auditing.
• Ability to lead complex database projects and document procedures.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, administer, and support Oracle DB and EBS environments.
• Tune performance, monitor operations, and troubleshoot long-running jobs.
• Manage Oracle EBS application tier, printers, workflow, and on-call incidents.
• Handle backup, recovery, cloning, patching, and high-availability configurations.
• Collaborate with cross-regional teams to provide follow-the-sun support.
• Enforce data governance, security controls, and change management.
• Document configurations and maintain change logs.
