Job summary

Philip Morris International is seeking a Technical Trainer to design, deliver, and sustain technical training for manufacturing teams. You will assess competency, develop materials, and coach colleagues to elevate technical performance while ensuring safety and quality compliance.

The role partners with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to drive continuous improvement and knowledge transfer across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, technical training, or a related environment.
• Experience conducting technical, operational, or skills-based training is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and conduct technical training programs for production and technical employees.
• Assess employee competency through evaluations, skills certification, and practical assessments.
• Identify training needs and competency gaps, and implement development plans.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to employees to enhance technical knowledge and performance.
• Develop and maintain training materials, manuals, work instructions, and assessment tools.
• Maintain accurate training records, certification status, and competency matrices.
• Monitor training effectiveness and recommend improvements based on operational requirements.
• Support manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering teams with technical expertise and capability-building initiatives.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to align training programs with business requirements.
• Coordinate with internal and external subject matter experts to ensure training content remains current and effective.
• Support qualification and onboarding programs for new employees.
• Ensure all training activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Technical Education, Industrial Technology, or a related field
