Job summary

SAWO Inc. in the Philippines is seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist to optimize shipment arrangements, evaluate freight forwarding quotations, and identify cost-saving opportunities across international logistics operations.

You will coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and internal departments to ensure timely, cost-efficient shipments and accurate record-keeping. The role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and documentation skills, with proficiency in Excel and ERP

Qualifications

• Graduate of Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Trade, or related field.
• Preferably with substantial experience in freight forwarding, international shipping, import/export, or logistics management.
• Knowledgeable in freight quotation sourcing, origin and destination charges, international shipping rates, and shipment cost analysis.

Responsibilities

• Source and request freight forwarding quotations from providers in the Philippines, Hong Kong, Europe, and other relevant locations.
• Evaluate and compare the total shipment cost, including origin charges, freight costs, destination charges, and other applicable fees.
• Analyze quotations from different freight forwarders to identify the most cost-effective shipping options without compromising service quality.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and internal departments regarding shipment schedules, rates, and requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of quotations, shipment costs, and freight forwarding arrangements.
• Identify opportunities to reduce logistics expenses and improve import/export processes.
• Prepare shipment cost comparison reports and recommendations for Management.
• Work on adhoc tasks as assigned by the Management.
