Job summary

Global Payments Inc. in the Philippines seeks an Accountant I to join the General Ledger Accounting team and help shape the future of global commerce.

You will handle core GL tasks, perform month-end close, and support financial system processes. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy with at least two years in general accounting, strong control knowledge, and proficiency in Oracle and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy with at least two years of experience in general accounting, general ledger or financial reporting roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, reconciliations and month-end close processes, with a track record of delivering accurate results.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and automated accounting systems such as Oracle.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and maintain exceptional attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills, combined with a proactive mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Handle general ledger tasks, including journal entries, month-end close, and financial system support.
• Perform bank reconciliations and financial analysis to ensure accuracy of reports.
• Maintain strong internal controls and organized records for compliance and audit readiness.
• Manage tax filings and regulatory requirements, supporting audits with necessary documentation.
• Collaborate with teams, uphold company policies, and stay updated on accounting standards.
