Job summary

Global Payments is hiring an Assistant Accountant in Metro Manila, Philippines. You will support month-end close, prepare journal entries, and perform reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data. The role involves intercompany activities and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Accountancy, at least 1 year of relevant accounting experience, and proficiency in Excel and accounting software. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field from a reputable college/university.
• At least 1 year of experience in general accounting or general ledger accounting.
• Proficient in using accounting software/application and MS Excel.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close by preparing journal entries and reconciliations within deadlines.
• Perform balance sheet, bank, and general ledger reconciliations; investigate variances.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity with internal controls.
• Assist with intercompany accounting activities and stakeholder coordination.
• Contribute to audit, reporting, and cross-functional improvement initiatives.
