Job summary

Mandaue Foam Industries, Inc. is seeking an Imported Purchasing Officer to manage sourcing of imported materials from local and international suppliers. You will evaluate quotations, prepare purchase orders, and coordinate with freight forwarders to ensure timely shipments.

The role requires strong negotiation and communication skills, attention to detail, and experience with import processes and Excel. You will collaborate with Finance and logistics to optimize costs and delivery schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in business, supply chain, purchasing, logistics, or related field.
• Experience in purchasing, importation, procurement, or supply chain operations preferred.
• Experience coordinating with international suppliers is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of import processes, shipping docs, and logistics procedures.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple orders and shipments to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Source and coordinate the purchase of imported materials, products, and supplies from local and international suppliers.
• Request and evaluate supplier quotations, pricing, product specs, and availability.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and related documents.
• Coordinate with international suppliers on orders, payment terms, production schedules, and shipments.
• Monitor purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of imported items.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, brokers, and logistics teams.
• Maintain import-related documents and records (invoices, packing lists, POs, shipping docs).
• Monitor shipment schedules and provide updates on incoming orders.
• Collaborate with Finance on supplier payments and import-related costs.
• Assist in monitoring inventory and determining purchasing requirements.
