Purchasing/Import Officer - Makati City
We are looking for an experienced and resourceful Purchasing/Import Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in procurement, international sourcing, and importation, with the ability to identify quality suppliers and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers to obtain the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, including purchase orders, supplier coordination, and order tracking.
Research and identify new products, equipment, and suppliers that align with the company's operational needs.
Handle international procurement and coordinate importation activities while ensuring compliance with customs and import regulations.
Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to facilitate the timely release of imported goods.
Process and monitor documentation related to importation and regulatory compliance, including FDA requirements when applicable.
Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier databases, and procurement reports.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and business partners.
At least 3–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
Preferably with experience handling international procurement and importation transactions.
Knowledgeable in importation procedures, customs regulations, and importation laws.
Knowledge of FDA licensing, permits, and regulatory requirements is required.
Licensed Customs Broker is a strong advantage.
Strong research, negotiation, and supplier management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
