Job summary

1Rotary Trading Corporation seeks an experienced Import Operations Manager to lead regulatory compliance, customs clearance, and documentation across the supply chain. You will coordinate with procurement, finance, and suppliers to ensure timely, compliant shipments.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in import operations, strong leadership and negotiation skills, and a proven track record in managing complex import projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent
• 5+ years in Import Operations, managerial preferred
• Experience in procurement/supply chain/logistics/supplier management/market research
• Licensed Customs Broker an advantage
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving and people-management skills
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, ethical, reliable, flexible, able to manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

• Secure and maintain all required import permits, licenses, and certifications and ensure compliance.
• Manage and verify import documentation and coordinate with procurement, finance, and other departments.
• Oversee customs clearance, including tariff classification, valuation, documentation issues, customs holds, and penalties.
• Coordinate with international suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and compliant shipments.
• Monitor import activities, identify risks and delays, and prepare compliance reports for management.
• Train employees on import regulations, documentation, policies, and procedures.
• Serve as the primary contact for customs and regulatory concerns.
• Conduct supply research and development, including finding new suppliers and alternative materials.
